What can go into my skip?

Skips are ideal for construction, renovation and clear out jobs where you will have large quantities of waste. They are meant for general waste items such as wood, metal, and builders waste such as bricks, tiles, concrete and soil.

WEEE Waste –  Computer Equipment, Telecoms Equipment, Set Top Boxes, Washing Machines, Tumble Dryers & Small Domestic Appliances (Kettles, Toasters, Coffee Machines).

TV’s, Monitors and fridges, can be disposed of for an additional charge.

Mixed Waste Skips – are meant for general waste items such as wood, metal, and builders waste, bricks, tiles, concrete and soil.

Inert Waste Skips – are meant for construction waste items such as hardcore & soil only.

Single Stream Skips – are meant for large quantities of a single waste stream such as metal, wood, plastic or glass.

What can’t go into my skip?

There are a number of items that cannot be placed into skips due to containing hazardous materials, not all of these materials are obvious these items include:

Liquids – chemicals, oils, solvents, petrol, diesel, paint (oil or water based), batteries.

Plasterboard – is deemed as hazardous waste, we can supply plasterboard only skips and 1 tonne plasterboard bags.

Asbestos – If Asbestos is present on your site and needs to be removed, a specialist company should be contacted for the safe removal.

Railway Sleepers & Telegraph Poles – These items are deemed hazardous waste wood, we can offer disposal at an additional rate.
